His first performance was at the age of 6 when he performed for National TV in his fathers band playing the bongos. Kenz grew up performing to packed
housed on a regular basis so stage fright was not in this guys vocabulary. Keen to keep it musical, at the age of 14, he became a music director to an all-kids band called 'Sargam' as well as an adult band, Saaz Aur Awaaz,
both which performed on National TV and stage regularly.Kenz knew he had the talent and foresight into never-before-heard innovations in music, but didn't have the equipment to bring his ideas to reality. However, one day in 1995 in the tropical island of St.Lucia, he was loaned a keyboard by an
Uncle for a weekend. Boy, did he make the most of that weekend, no sleep, no food, no nothing… just experimenting with this awesome top-of-the-range keyboard he had just laid his hands on. It was here, Kenz
began to take an interest in singing ghazals and filmi tunes. Kenz realised then which way his career was going to turn. Putting his musical career aside to finish off his Computer Science studies in America
was a reluctant choice but parental pressure took presidence. While studying, he teamed-up with Norwegian composer & producer Orn Siggurdson who's dorm room studio was superbly equipped to bring Kenz's ideas to fruition.
Together they made a lot of noise in the little town of Fairfield, Iowa producing music the local folk and college students had never heard before! His dorm room was often found completely packed with the latest musical
equipment. He went onto receiving standing ovations from college staff and students for his vocal and keyboard performances. About the same time, Kenz was appointed in-house DJ for the University doing video and audio dances.
Coupled with his remarkable dance skills impressing the folks on the floor each time...his popularity grew further. 1990 Kenz and his family moved to North Carolina and for the next five years he struggled to combine producing
music, performances, studying and working. But he still managed to produce three albums, 'A Thousand Times,' 'Young Blood' and 'Desi Keys' (all of which were remakes of old Bollywood film songs with a few originals as
well. Some written by Kenz and others by his songwriter & friend Dr. Sudha Dhingra.) New years eve, 1998, Kenz gets an interview with Internationally acclaimed DJ/Producer, Bally Sagoo. Noticing the ability of Kenz,
Sagoo invited Kenz to the UK to work and produce an album for his label, Ishq Records. Kenz spent almost seven months under the wing of Bally Sagoo working on several projects. With a recording studio at his finger tips
there was no stopping him now. Creating a whole new style of music which he had never touched on before. Whilst having a free rein at Ishq Recording studios, his keyboarding talent was soon put to use onto some of Bally
Sagoos' albums, including the award winning Bollywood Flashback 2 which went Platinum, Dub Of Asia, Dil Hai Hindustani (specifically the Bally Sagoo Remix), Sagloops, and more. Equipped with his new style of production, his
debut album 'Bootlegged' will now put him on another level. Kenz has a vision, he has a dream of fulfilling his dreams of becoming someone and make a mark in life and be remembered for it. Biography courtesy of Sita Pall
